Boy Buh-Bye to Love & Hip Hop Hollywood

Well, well, what can I say…If you’ve watched part 2 of Love and Hip Hop Hollywood, you’ve seen the messiness and the tea. If not, well let me spill it for you.

We open with a few of the cast on the couch. The host ask if Mr. Ray could be cordial with Zell. (This is Love and Hip hop no one is just cordial). Well, Mr. Ray said, “I don’t want to be cordial with him.” Well that must have sparked something off in Zell because instead of giving Mr. Ray a hug like he looked like he was attempting to do, he sneaks a couple punches in and is escorted off the set and into a car. He doesn’t return to the set.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ray is backstage crying and trying to understand why he was punched; why he’s bleeding. A1 tries to sympathize with him and once Mr. Ray comes back on stage all of the case has pretty much taken up for Mr. Ray and said Zell was wrong for hitting him the way he did. Although, they themselves have been doing the same thing all damn season.

Alexis was caught laughing at Mr. Ray although she denies it.

Later, Ms. Nikki Baby and Masika get into it for some comments she made that weren’t even directed towards Masika. But Nikki this time wins as the clap back queen when she said to Masika, “You live like you’re in a struggle and you look like one too.,”,and “My heels are higher than your whole self esteem.”

A none bothered Masika lies on the floor, taunting Nikki to come swing at her. Of course nothing happens, they break for commercial and all is well with the cast.

Keyshia Cole was the perfect example of unbothered. We finally get to the love triangle of Brooke, Bridget and Booby. Keyshia not here for the drama gets off the couch and joins the rest of the cast near the audience. Clearly, Brooke never really wanted Booby and was clearly using him to make Marcus jealous. Booby, on the other hand may have been feeling her but not so much he brought Bridget on the trip to Catalina island with him. Bridget was left looking like a used up rag as usual. Her ex stating that he felt he dodged a bullet. But when Keyshia performed, her latest song, Incapable, you could see the love or perhaps some form of feelings or expression there for Keyshia. Perhaps, he’s still in love?!?

Later, we get to see Tearia discuss her alcoholism and the intervention that took place and lead her to rehab. Tearia calls out Cisco for playing her and of course he denies it but later apologizes for it.

Lyrica, the orange hair queen who’s been dipping her nose in everyone’s business all season discusses why she was so upset her husband A1 would even consider working with other female artists that aren’t her because she’s so talented and the women aren’t even on her level.  Later, A1 says he does it all so there’s no need for his wife to work with other producers. Um, there was no point of y’all being on the show but yeah ok.

We close the show out by watching Safaree get emotional because he’s leaving Cali and going back home to New York. Hmm, just in time for the New York season to start. Chasing a paycheck suppose? This wouldn’t be the first time a Love and Hip Hop cast mate has jumped ship to another state for the show.

Well anyway, another season is dead and gone so let us get ready for Yandy, Remy Ma, MariahLynn, and joining the cast is Superwoman, Lil Mo’ for season 8 of Love and Hip Hop New York. Get ready for more ratchetness to begin next Monday, same place, same time. Vh1 at 8pm. Get your popcorn ready!

Love & Hip Hop Cast Members; Omarion and Apryl Calls It Quits

Defunct B2K member and Love and Hip Hop Hollywood cast member Omarion Grandberry announced via his Twitter account the breakup from longtime girlfriend and mother to his two children Apryl Jones.

This is what he had to say :

Apryl Jones also took to her own Twitter account tweeting: “Single…the end”.

The couple have two children together; Megaa in 2014 (a son) and a brand new daughter A’mei in 2016, according to reports from VH1.

Omarion, says he will continue a cordial and mature friendship with Jones, for the sake of their children.

In A World Full of Amber Rose and Blac Chyna’s Be An Ayesha Curry

Strippers, big butts, thot behavior and Instagram models. What do all of these terms have in common? They describe the recent phenomenon of chicks ideology.

In an age of social media and shows like VH1 Love & Hip Hop and the BET reality show about those chicks who got famous because they had a huge Instagram following. Like that’s something to be jumping for joy about.

But BET once had shows like Teen Summitt and College Hill. Something positive for our African American community to be proud of. Let’s be honest here. We’ve all witnessed the sudden change in TV programming.

Don’t be fooled by the hidden agenda. There is a reason why the mainstream media force feeds you this crap. Emasculating our black men into this hidden gay agenda and brainwashing our young women that following a Nicki Minaj or Amber Rose is the way to get ahead in life. Throwing that pu**y in the air to make it rain in the club.

Everyone wants to be Instagram famous. Because this prevents you from going to college and getting a good job. Starting your own business, and improving your self worth. Or living up to your fullest potential in life.

Why aspire to be just another throw away trick worth a dime a dozen. When you can be like lyricist, Lauryn Hill. “Why be a hard rock. When you really are a gem. ”

What the media doesn’t tell you is that the real men want women who haven’t been run through.

The saddest thing was how the black Twitter community took to pro-baller Steph Curry’s wife, Ayesha Curry just because she decided she’d rather stay covered up than revealing everything.

Our society is programmed to reject anything positive for anything negative. Come on people don’t be naive. Why would you want to be just another face in the crowd when you can stand out from the crowd.

Any man who doesn’t want you because you are too wholesome for him. Doesn’t deserve you anyway.

Don’t be fooled by the media agenda. There is nothing cool with being a side chick or a thot.

In a world full of Amber Rose and Blac Chyna be an Ayesha Curry.

“Be rare. Not easy to get.”

Black Power: Why I’m Fed Up With BET Networks

BET or Black Entertainment Television use to be a force to be reckoned with. Once owned by Bob Johnson, use to display positive and powerful programs like Video Soul with Donnie Simpson, BET NEWS, also one of my favorites that they need to bring back for this lost generation is Teen Summitt. A youth talk show geared toward giving African American teenagers an outlet to share their voices on topics that most concern them.

Nowadays, BET shows a constant rerun of the same movies and nothing really positive for the African American audience it targets. Lately, the network has picked up the show The Westbrooks. Which from the commercials I’ve seen is just a black watered down version of The Khardasians.  Has our society gone so far into this social media game that we are praising young ladies for being popular on social media instead of being an intelligent and educated young woman. I suppose so with the term, “hoes be winning”.

Come On, BET what happened to College Hill, Baldwin Hills and several other shows. I noticed the Book of Negroes, lasted not very long.

Black People in power stop giving away your damn power for a measly buck! Johnson sold BET Network to Viacom some years ago. Just like Dr. Dre sold Beats by Dre to Apple. If black people weren’t so brainwashed perhaps we could do better. We will always be at the bottom of the totem pole for that reason alone.

I just hope that for the ones with power we help take care of each other.  As for BET a non black owned station could careless about making positive images in the black community because they want to keep us ignorant and dumb.

Wake up black people! BET or VH1 don’t give a damn about black people. There was a time when VH1 wouldn’t even show blacks on their network. Now all you see are blacks.  Because they’re capitalizing off of our ignorance with shows like Basketball Wives and Love and Hip Hop. Shows that potray us as being over sexualized and catty to other black women. Men cheating on their women because one just isn’t enough.  We need to wake up to see the tricks being played here.

Pick up a book instead of a remote sometimes.

Gays In Hip Hop: Miles Comes Out On TV

Miles, aka Sir Brock
Okay, So as you all might have seen last nights airing of VH1’s Love and Hip Hop Hollywood. It started off with a very emotional Amber as her long-time best friend Miles precedes to “come out the closet” during a counseling session. She runs out the door screaming and crying. Yelling, “I knew it! Everybody was right about you!”

Now a shaken up Miles must consider was coming out to his bestie the best decision for him. It doesn’t get any better once his family finds out his secret too.

Although, it does appear that the gay agenda is often shoved down our throats through mainstream media. I did feel a little bit sorry for Miles. As I can only imagine what it could be like to live a lie, knowing you are holding back who you really want to be just to feel accepted by people.

But at the same time, I do believe VH1 is playing on this. I’m quite sure there are plenty of gay men AND women in the entertainment industry. They just don’t let the media into their bedroom so it won’t stop there cash flow and I must say I understand. However, I enjoy watching the Love and Hip Hop franchise but I do wish they’d hire some new writers because too many of the same characters have the same storyline and it gets boring & old fast.

Perhaps there is a double standard between homosexual women and men. Although, sometimes not right the world seemed albeit more acceptable of Erica Mena and Cyn Santana relationship versus Miles & Milan’s relationship. Maybe the sight of two men in the bed together just was too much for some people to digest.

I do hope that people find the courage to be who they really are. The only thing I can’t respect is “double dipping”. Which is being sexually involved with both a man and a woman. DL individuals need to be true to themselves so we can stop the pain and disease rate.

I respect Miles for telling Amber the truth no matter how hard it was for her to accept. Besides I don’t believe he saw her as anymore than a friend anyway.

Why Some VH1 Shows Need To Be Seriously Boycotted!

bet networks

Okay I am glad that is a new year! And with that I would like to see a change in the viewing of African Americans on TV. VH1 and possibly BET show some of the most degrading sitcoms on TV. My beef with BET is that is no longer black owned. I am truly furious with the way VH1 portrays blacks on their network. Back in the day you couldn’t catch a black on their channel. But now they have re formatted their programming to show nothing but reality shows targeting the African American community which do anything but showcase us in a positive light. With VH1 producing shows like, Tiny and Shekinah Weave Trip,” “Bye Felicia, Sorority Sisters and the love and hip hop “Love & Hip Hop Series,” is the epitome of wretchedness.  The term ‘Bye Felicia’ came from a hashtag that was trending on social media and even earlier then that Felicia came from the Ice Cube neighborhood classic film, “Friday,” Which proves no originality coming from writers and creators of TV Shows anymore. I am really tired of seeing weak minded women fighting and crying over a man that is not that into them. That seems to be the norm on reality TV, black women with too much weave, horrible plastic surgery.and bad attitudes.

This is where Bye Felicia originally came from!

The most recent show that has everyone in an uproar is the new Mona Scott Young show, “Sorority Sisters,” which has upset people because they feel like it makes a mockery of Black Sorority Organizations.  Which I agree because organizations especially Greek organizations are suppose to be sacred and about community, leadership and sisterhood. But these young ladies are anything but….and as a black woman myself I am tired of seeing black women fighting and being caddy to one another. I feel this is the reason why African Americans can’t be respected in the world because of how we are portrayed on television. Also shows like Maury Povich doesn’t make black men or women look any better either.  I think the whole entire programming department needs to be reformatted. Even shows like Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder show black women in power sleeping with men. There are no family shows like The Cosby’s (even Bill is in hot water right now) Nothing is how it use to be in the 90s, not music or TV. If we could go back to quality productions with skilled writers and actors, and musicians, we could change for the better. .
