According to reports, by Fox News, that despite a Chicago prosecutor dropping all charges against Jussie Smollett, a Cook County state’s Attorney Kim Foxx says she wants to look into the investigation further.
Smollett is also being charged with almost $130,000 to cover the cost of the investigation that appeared to be fraudulent due by Tuesday and if not paid on time he is looking to be fined twice the amount of what he is being charged. The Empire, actor reported that he was the victim of an alleged hate crime. But it was later found out to be false. Two Nigerian males seemed to be a part of the attacking staged and paid off by Smollett. Which is why Smollett landed in jail for falsifying a report to authorities.
He was recently, nominated for an award for the NAACP. Smollett not only missed the dinner and award show but he also lost in his category to Jesse Williams for Grey’s Anatomy.
President Trump has even voiced several concerns in regards to Smollet’s case, stating it to be nonsense and an “embarrassment to our country.” He asks that the FBI & DOJ further look into the case despite the dropped charges in Chicago.
“F-’em then I get some money!”
Or in this case, ‘Drug ’em then I get some money.’
New York born rapper Cardi B recently went on her IG live to address those stating how she didn’t deserve her fame. Cardi B replied back in the live rant by saying she had to resort to doing what she had to do. The ‘Money,’ emcee admits to bringing men who wanted to engage in sex with her to hotels. There she would drug them and rob them while they were unconscious to pay for her studio time and producers.
Many have taken to social media with memes comparing her to Bill Cosby. The famed comedian actor, best known on the hit TV show, The Cosby Show. He was found guilty of drugging women and he has since been in jail. But why is there no jail time for Cardi B? Does the #metoo movement only protect women? Is this some sort of feminist agenda to emasculate African American men? Does it make a difference because now the roles have reversed? The victims are men and the perpetrator is now female?
Has the power of feminism gone too far? When did it ever become okay to meddle with the health and well-being of another human? In her defense, as she tears up, that no one was supporting her with the studio time she needed to make her records. So, she in fact had to do what she had to do. As we all know she makes no efforts to hide her troubled past as a stripper. But sometimes, celebrities must learn when to be quiet. This may have been a bad move for her. Let’s see if she’ll be able to recover from this travesty with the height of the #metoo movement as well as her career.
What are your thoughts? Were her actions justified or has she gone too far?

There seems to be a misconception in the black community that a girl can’t mature and “Level Up.” Hit R&B singer, dancer, and model Ciara has been the subject of criticism as of late. As early 2000s rapper Slim Thug took to radio air waves dishing his opinion on how Ciara can’t truly be happy with Russell Wilson because she is accustomed to thugs, and bad boys and Russell Wilson is well…a square. Here is the video of what the rapper spit out about the talented songstress and her marriage.
Slim Thug Interview
But what is seeming to be so troubling is how black men can’t accept the fact that somebody accepted Ciara for the woman that she is. Along with her child. Yes! A single black man married, a single black mother and made her a wife. They also had a child of their own. What Future didn’t see in her Russell did and now they have a beautiful family together. What woman hasn’t made poor dating choices throughout her life. She went from a girl to a woman. God forbid she matures into a “grown woman” status. Hence, the title to her new hit song, “Level Up.”
Ciara seems to be a subject of criticism since the beginning of her career. She has been talked about simply due to her height, and not being born a full blown woman which was soon debunked. But what we can’t figure out is why she needs to be labeled as “damaged goods,” just because Future (Ciara’s ex and son’s father) deemed her unworthy although he has several children of his own. It seems like Future is the one who needs to think about his own future with all the kids he’s making. Besides why would Ciara need to be with Russell solely because of his cash when she is making her own just fine. It seems to us that when ever people are happy there will always be haters waiting to throw salt in the game. Russell Wilson may be what other bad boys consider ‘simp’ but only if they knew these are the men that real women truly want. Not the smooth talking, future faking, baby momma having, trail of babies everywhere with no future guys.
Ciara wanted a man with a ‘future,’ and she finally got one is what it seems like and now that she is glowing and leveling up in life everyone has something to say. Well, Cici go ahead and be happy with you and yours.
