She Kills ‘Em with Kindness

Some of you may know her as the former Disney girl on the television show “Wizards of Waverly Place”. You may also know her as part of the Taylor Swift squad, she is the talented and beautiful Selena Gomez. One of her tour stops landed in Chicago, Illinois on June 25, 2016 at the United Center. This tour is called “Revival” as she recently released her newest CD, Revival. Gomez had two opening acts, Bahari and DNCE. Bahari is a band of three females who recently did an ad for Forever 21 and DNCE includes Joe Jonas and his band. The two opening acts riled up the crowd who were anxious to see Gomez perform. After multiple intermissions, there was a euphoric and stunning entrance of Gomez’s first song. She walked gracefully from the smoke in a black high-low outfit singing “Revival”. Throughout the night she had an array of stunning, dreamy wardrobe changes. Her hit songs  “Can’t Keep My Hands to Myself”, “Good for You”, “Same Old Love”, and “Sober” were performed with grace and elegance. The on stage performance was excellent featuring Gomez’s sultry dance moves and talented back up dancers. A combination of lights, lasers, and stage setup mesmerized the crowd. It was a stunning show!!!

As a big fan of Selena Gomez for years, it was such an honor to finally attend another concert. The last Selena Gomez concert I went to was in 2010 when she performed in the Springfield, IL state fair. She has grown up so much as an artist and it’s so inspiring to see that. The song that she performed that amazed me was “Me and My Girls”. She entered the stage in a golden chariot with matching gold ensemble along with enormous red roses. It reminded me of Alice in Wonderland because of the roses and her resemblance to the Queen of Hearts. Also on screen in the background there was a montage of Gomez posing and dancing in a Dia De Los Muertos theme. Selena Gomez honestly killed it with kindness at the United Center on June 25, 2016!
