Message To Moms

I was actually going to write a different article, but I thought in light of Mother’s Day this would be more appropriate. I am giving you my all time FAVORITE Moms from TV and film. Let’s start with television. Aunt Viv from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air! (the original one) How FABULOUS was she?!! OMG, her lectures were EVERYTHING! She was always dropping knowledge. Love it!! Next is Sophia from The Golden Girls. Yasssss!!!! She was hysterical as Dorothy’s mother. Her one liners were priceless! The way she used to get Rose, seriously though!!! So awesome. I have so many more BUT my hands down ABSOLUTE FAVORITE TV Mom is The Cosby Show’s Claire Huxtable!!!! YASSSSS!!!!!!!!! Such a great example of a woman. She was a college graduate, a lawyer, a loving wife, and a mother. She was hilarious, so chic and stylish, strong, independent, smart and GORGEOUS!!!!! Remember when she gave Elvin the business about `serving’ her husband? EPIC!!!!!!!! Now for film. While I have a super long list of pretty awesome mom portrayals on the silver screen, here are my top 2. Angela Bassett as Katherine Jackson from The Jackson’s: An American Dream. She totally embodied Katie. My favorite part is when she is yelling at Joseph and said `Go to bed Joseph! Go – To – Bed!!’.. HUNTY!!!! LOL! My FAVORITE movie Mom thus far is, drum roll please… Faye Dunaway as the fantastic Joan Crawford in Mommie Dearest! YASSSSS X A THOUSAND!!! She was so devious and cold and dressed to the nines with eyebrows arched to the GWADS! `No wire hangers!!!’ YES! Awesome! Well, to all of the mothers out there, you are appreciated everyday. Enjoy yourselves this weekend and HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL!!!!
